Slumlord
Buy the worst flats in town. Fix what you feel like. Hope nobody notices.
You own twelve flats on Bellweather Row. The roof leaks, the boiler is older than one of your tenants, and the rent lands on the first of every month whatever you do about it. Slumlord is a landlord simulator about the gap between what a building needs and what you feel like paying for. Every month people write to you: the lift-off paint, the window that opens four inches, the smoke alarm that came away in someone's hand. Three buttons: fix it, stall it, or refuse it. Fixing costs money now, stalling costs nothing and costs you later, refusing leaves the hole exactly where it was. Fifteen years, one month at a time, no timers. The council is a real opponent.
